The Bolts Brief ⚡ Week of May 31
Hello Bolt Families,
We’re in full swing, and there’s a lot of fun happening! Our older swimmers are kicking off a new Carowinds tradition, we’re launching Monday Night Dinners at the Pool, team photos are Tuesday morning, and we’ll hit the road for our first away meet of the season.
Please take a few minutes to read through everything below for the week.
BOLT NEWS
Carowinds
All attendees were emailed event details yesterday. There are still some bus seats available. If you’d like to join the trip, please contact Kimber.
Practice Changes for Monday
Due to the Carowinds Trip, practice schedules will be adjusted on Monday.
Former Coach, Brooks Schemm, and Coaching Director, Brooke Teague, will host a special stroke clinic for the 8 & Under and 9–10 age groups during their regular AM practice times. Brooks is also available for private lessons.
8 & Under and 9–10 will have their normal PM practice.
No practices all day for 11+.
Monday Night Dinner + Dive-In Movie @ the Pool
Our first Monday Night Dinner is here! CHEF360 will be onsite at 5:30 PM serving their Carolina Cookout menu (linked here).
Open to all BW residents. Grab your meal to-go or stay and hang out poolside. A portion of all sales benefits the Botany Bolts.
🎬 Stick around afterward for a special Dive-In Movie Night featuring Zootopia 2 beginning around 7:00 PM!
Team Pictures
Tuesday morning at the pool. Swimmers should wear their team suit and arrive no later than 8:30 AM. The team photo will begin promptly at 8:45 AM, followed immediately by optional individual and sibling photos.
Guppies are encouraged to attend and wear their team t-shirt. Morning guppies are welcome to attend afternoon practice.
If purchasing photos, bring your completed order form (linked here). Payment methods accepted: cash, check, or credit card.
There will be no 8&U morning practice on Tuesday.
