About the Botany Bolts ⚡
The Botany Woods Swim Team, also known as the Botany Bolts, is more than just a summer swim team. We are a neighborhood tradition built on teamwork, sportsmanship, community, and fun.
As one of the founding teams of the Greenville County Swim Association Invitational League (SAIL), the Botany Bolts have been part of Greenville summer swimming since the league began in 1964. Today, SAIL includes more than 30 neighborhood teams and thousands of swimmers across Greenville County, continuing a tradition that has connected families for generations.
Our season runs from mid-May through mid-July and includes daily practices, weekly dual meets, social events, Divisionals Week, and Championships and Classics competition opportunities. We welcome swimmers ages 4–18 of all experience levels.
But the Bolts are about much more than swimming.
We are a volunteer-run, community-supported program focused on helping swimmers grow in confidence, character, friendship, and teamwork. Through practices, meets, team traditions, and social events, our goal is to create a positive summer experience that families look forward to year after year.
The Botany Bolts are powered by dedicated coaches, involved parents, generous sponsors, neighborhood support, and swimmers who bring energy and spirit to the pool every day.
Whether you’re a returning Bolt or joining us for the first time, we’re glad you’re here, and we can’t wait for a great season together.
Go Bolts ⚡
