The Bolts Brief ⚡ Week of May 11

Hello Bolt Families,

We’re officially back!

Bolts Bash was an incredible kickoff to the season, and we loved seeing so many new and returning families together at the pool. The excitement for this summer is already building, and we can’t wait to get started.

Welcome to the very first edition of the Bolts Brief! Going forward, you can expect this in your inbox every Sunday with important updates, upcoming events, volunteer needs, and fun team highlights.

We’ll also send a short pre-meet email each Wednesday with everything you need for Thursday’s swim meet.

Please see below for this week’s info!

BOLT NEWS

COACHES CORNER
The coaches are excited to start the season! During the first week of practice, swimmers will review stroke basics, rebuild comfort and confidence in the water, and begin preparing for our first meet.

AROUND THE POOL
Bolt Buddies connected at Bolts Bash! If your swimmer missed the kickoff party, they can still complete a favorites form during practice this week.

What are Bolt Buddies?
The Bolt Buddy program pairs older swimmers (ages 10+) with younger swimmers (ages 9 & under) to encourage friendship, mentorship, and team connection throughout the season.

This year, we’re hoping to make the program even more relational. Learn more here.

VOLUNTEERS
SAIL training must be completed by May 21.

The following volunteer roles require certification. All other roles don’t require certification, but training is still available and can be found online here.

  • Head Clerk of Course (if new to role within last 2 years)

Still Needed:

Help coordinate casual team dinner reservations after away meets.
  • Dive-In Movie Night Coordinator (June 1)
