Bolts Divisionals: Shaving Cream/Firetruck info
A note from the hostess with the mostest - Ally Dodge:
Ready to Rumble? Divisionals week kicks off with the highly competitive shaving cream war at the athletic field. This sport isn't complicated (participants run around spraying shaving cream on each other) but if you follow these pro-tips, the enjoyment odds increase dramatically! And your reward? Getting sprayed down by Greenville's finest fire department around!
- Wear shoes you can run in and can get wet - the course can get slippery and we will have just done fireworks the night before. God only knows what's going to be in that grass!
- Bring extra towels - your athlete will come in at some point and want to be cleaned up
- Bring extra water - think portable shower, eye wash station, goggle washing station, thirst station
- BRING AND WEAR GOGGLES - throw in an extra pair - shaving cream in the eyes really stings - there's one every year (see water bullet above)
- Buy lots of shaving cream and then buy one more - you always think you have enough until you don't
- Pick up your trash - we will be coming around afterwards so please encourage your kids to do their part, cause you don't want to do it for them. Shaving cream is sticky.
Parents there are some awesome photo ops, so you don't want to miss this! Head on down around 5:30 and pending an actual emergency, we will plan on having the fire truck ready to spray around 5:45/6pm (when the novelty has worn off). If there is an actual emergency and our fire truck is called away, see the bullet about bringing your own water.
